Fischer & Wieser
Serving Up Gourmet-Level E-Commerce Marketing for Fischer & Wieser
Background
Fischer & Wieser is a family-owned and operated farm in Texas that has been dedicated to creating gourmet food products for more than 55 years. Offering fresh fruit, jellies, sauces, wine, and even small-batch spirits, Fischer & Wieser has something for every taste.
The brand also knows what it wants and is willing to collaborate to achieve its goals. So when Fischer & Wieser came to SmartBug Media® to up its marketing game, we were all ears. The first goal? Setting up a foundation of ongoing monthly email campaigns and flows.
But the farm was old-school and needed clear brand guidelines and a consistent look and feel to pave the way to digital marketing success. The SmartBug team solidified their branding to set the tone for all marketing efforts. These foundational efforts enabled Fischer & Wieser to collaborate around e-commerce strategies and Klaviyo best practices—and evolve over time.
Implementing Foundational Flows
No email automation? That’s madness! But when Fischer & Wieser first came to SmartBug, the brand hardly had any automated flows. Our team created a beautiful and engaging set of core flows to capture potential customers across the buyer’s journey. After early success, we’ve expanded to include SMS messaging and unique messaging that speaks to each customer segment.
Joining the Subscription Bandwagon
Subscription boxes are the hottest trend for everything from pet supplies to beauty and personal care, so why not gourmet food? Fischer & Wieser launched a seasonal subscription box in 2024 and needed to spread the word. SmartBug kicked it into gear to create a new pop-up and email campaigns with logical flows to tell the masses.
Elevating SMS
Being the voice in their back pocket is almost as good as being the voice inside your customer’s head. SmartBug helped Fischer & Wieser collect SMS subscribers and send text campaigns to this exclusive audience. And for added encouragement, we integrated SMS messaging into abandonment flows to convert more customers.
